Welcome

The other day i was surfing the net, to see what fitness related products and blogs were out there. I was suprised at the vast number which were missing the primary focus of what fitness should be about: being fit for every day activities!

Now once your fit for stuff that is a part of every day life, then you should work for fitness in a specific sport, or building muscle, or toning your body, what ever your fitness goal maybe.

Building every day, usable core strength is ultimatly what this blog is about. From time to time i will discuss some other issues regarding fitness, injury prevention, body building. I will also have links to special reports, and i will personally write some for my readers as well, based on my knowledge.

Before i finish my first post, ill just give you a quick run down about myself. My name is Joel House, i live in Queensland, Australia. Now you may be thinking to yourself, what do i know about fitness, well the answer, more than most personal trainers! I have trained in the art of Karate for 8 years, was state champion several times, made the Australian team two years in a row, and got my black belt.
During my training i was lucky enough to train under the Australian Karate teams strength and conditioning instructor as my normal coach. spend time training and learning with paul collins, who is an internationally reconissed strength coach as well as fitness coach to some of the australian swimming and rowing teams as well as the Melbourne Storm NRL team. I have done work experience training with a personal trainer to Noosa's wealthy and off season AFL players, who are some of the fitest sports people around. just to mention a few.

Just to clarify, i am not telling you this to brag or big note myself, but merely to let you know, that i have been around, and for a while with the best people in the industry. and that i do know my stuff.

By being exposed to such a large variety of different trainers with specialty in such a wide range of areas, i have been able to learn from each one; Absorbing the strengths of each training style, and combinging then into one which enabled me to top the strength and fitness tests for the Australian karate team at the AIS (Australian Institure of Sport). and it is that system that i am going to share with you in this blog.

stay posted for new content frequently and i look foward to hearing your comments.

yours in fitness,

Joel
